Is it possible that there is a bigger sci fi follower than me?  Actually, in the 1970s, I didn't have a TV, so I never saw this one.  Plus, being a different generation than you, I'm not sure metallic purple hair would have appealed to me, natural hippie-type that I was ;~)

Ha again.  But that's the difference in your generation versus mine.  We didn't get tattoos, or I might have ;~)  I just always carried Star Trek in my mind and heart, as I studied anthropology as a returning student.
