The Key to my House (is inside of my house)

I closed the door upon my leaving

so no one would wonder in

if only I didn't fear being burgled

by other nerdy, white men.

The door was locked and

I walked away

to use the computers at school

O, was I ever a fool.

The instance to leave and

go home to my nest

was at hand so off

I went on my quest

I thought that the key was inside my pants

but in that I was surely proved wrong

inside the house was the

key to my house

and there it had been all along

Another lovely poem, and day, mangled by yours truely.

You know, this is one of those poems that could be read ten years from now and analyzed to a faretheewell.

I hope they say that it sounds like a rip off, but rings with an unalienable element of truth.

Because the key to my very locked house is most certainly inside the house.

The analysis would no doubt include the locked emotional aspect of your meter, etc.  And the psychological implications of a  locked key, for certain.

Re: A poem I like to call...
Ah yes, of course, of course. I was TOTALLY going for the locked key thing.

I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul!

Re: A poem I like to call...
I don't deserve points... I'm a filthy, keyless, pointless loser. haha

When did you get a house anyway?

Re: A poem I like to call...
It's more of an apartment-- more as in actually...

but "apartment" doesn't have the ring of "house".

My personal favorite:

so no one would wonder in

if only I didn't fear being burgled

by other nerdy, white men

Why would you ever think they would be nerds.

Oh, they must be rebelling from oppression.

Anyways, it's refreshing to see a top blog with grand merit worthy nominating.  Terrific job.

Very interesting... And how many times has this happened to me... Too many times >_<, I wrote a poem hehe, but it's not as interesting... just about burning homework.

Re: A poem I like to call...
Well, I'm no poet. You'll have a hard time finding the few poems, for whatever reason, I've subjected the Mindsay community to...

but I thought this would be a more interesting way to say I was locked out of my house. haha.
