Winnipeg was the site this week for some scenes for the Brad Pitt movie "The Assassination of Jesse James" and I was fortunate enought to be able to walk around the set last Saturday. The Exchange District in Winnipeg is full of old buildings so it's an ideal backdrop for a period piece. The street was covered in dirt and all the modern signage was covered with signs saying things like "Haberdashery". It was very cool.
