Today we had the first commuter meeting of the year and the goof that I am forgot that it was supposed to be a BBQ. All I had on hand were timbits and pop which are a poor substitute for an actual lunch. I feel terrible since folks came expecting a meal. So I will plan one for next week and try to make it up to people. Sigh. Did I mention I feel terrible?
Anyway, I have decided to audit a class this semester - Old Testament Apocalyptic - that is being held at a church in Winnipeg on Monday evenings. I really just want the chance to sit in on a good lecture on a regular basis. And I want to connect with the professor, Dr. Beal, who is a woman. Since I'm interested in the field of biblical studies which doesn't have a lot of women in it, this would be a good opportunity to make a connection with one. I'm also hoping to attend the seminary retreat this weekend at Manitoba Pioneer Camp. I went last year and quite enjoyed myself. The second night I slept on the dock!
