after watching my husband take weeks to create a pond I was inspired to make a tiny water hole with dripping water, rocks from the yard, black rubber, an ebay pump and scavenged plants all over the yard. I am thrilled. Now when you open the front door you are greeting by my own little "water feature". 

 

It still needs a bamboo spout instead of a straw  but i couldn't wait to test the effect.

oh, you must have a bamboo spout!  start a moss collection too...it'll look great and grow well on the rocks!  also, there's different types of low-growing thyme that will smell wondermous....i have italian and lemon thyme both....

yes I have started a moss garden already. and wooly thyme IS heavenly. and the herb garden on the deck off the kitchen is beginning to sprout: basil, chives sage and arugala.  isn't spring heaven?

i have four different basil plants....i intend to have me some homemade pesto this year.  *nods*  i really do need to get some *black opal* basil....it turns white wine vinegars the prettiest pink.
