myclette has a wonderful posting about shattering stereotypes. here goes mine:

I am an upper middle class Jewish married woman with blonde hair, big boobs and a soft voice.

I do not believe in God in the traditional Jewish sense. I fall somewhere between a buddhist and a Diest.

I do not believe Israel is always right.

I have believed there should be an Independent Palestinian state since the middle 1960's.

Jerusalem belongs to three major world religions and should become an international city open to all.

I admire and am fascinated with Islam and have no knee jerk hatred for any ethnic group.

I hate gifilte fish and only minimally enjoy lox.

Although married for almost 40 years I do not think monogamy is the glue that holds most marriages together, I think it is respect , honesty and friendship.

Despite being a jewish wife, I love performing fellatio and am open to all sorts of kinkiness with my husband.

Although blonde and busty I graduated summa cum laude from a prestigious woman's college.

I love blonde jokes but I hate racial jokes. Actually I do not believe in RACE as a construct. I think we just come in different phenotypes.

I own a mink and some great jewelry but I bake my own bread, clean my own house and do my own gardening. SO I guess I am not a JAP ( jewish american princess)

Although small in stature no one has ever pshed me around and I can control a classroom of 30 childlren with body language and a soft voice.

(The only stereotype that is true is that I love to pay wholesale)

I love these!

P.S. Where do these stereotype come from? Although I'm a black female, I enjoy giving fellatio, too. Black women aren't supposed to like it either. I didn't put that on my blog because It's supposed to be PG-13.  However, I forget that sometimes.

For what it's worth -- Although I'm a Jewish white male, I enjoy receiving fellatio. I know that has to break some stereotype, right?

Re: shattering stereotypes
The stereotype about jewish females that I was exposed to is that they are morally liberal, as are Catholic school girls like me. So the stereotype imbedded in my mind would be that only Protestant women don't like fellatio.

In college I lived in a mostly Jewish women's dormitory. One Saturday night my date commented that the lobby looked like a Revlon commercial. He was commenting on their makeup, but I thought Jewish girls were beautiful, and beside most of them I felt rather dowdy... still do. Stereotypes don't die easily.

Re: shattering stereotypes
The hardest thing we can do is break from the box and color outside those damned lines - all of us. It's good to see how many folks have done it. One of the books I've read about where I came from - working class Protestant neighborhood of Philadelphia - is called Limbo. I totally agree with this work, and he says that the way so many white lower class folks broke out is through breaking the racial barriers. Amen to that. Racial, sexual, male/female, class (big one for me), etc. Break out! Culture molds!
