Last night I finished Tina Brown's book about Diana and if ever there was a description of a Borderline Personality Disorder... that was Diana Spencer. stormy relationships. Idealizing and demonizing people. suicidal ideation, paranoia, constant fear of abandonement, unstable self image and core, eating disorder.  Having been raised by a woman with BPD, I KNOW. trust me.

that marriage would have been hellish even if they were not the Wales'. But you know, I don't love her less, she was an amazing albeit highly troubled woman who brought something amazing to this world.

Re: diana chonicles
I don't think that her life issues were all that much different that anyone else's - (show me a person with no issues and I'll show you a statue) - but hers were magnified not only because of her royal status, but also because of her celebrity status. It must be difficult to exist under the lens of a microscope. On the other hand - she MUST have had some inkling of what her life might be like after she married Charles. She can't have been THAT naive. Jump into a pool wearing blinders, don't surprised if you hit concrete ( I'm SUCH a cliche' person!). I think that her biggest asset was charisma and charm, and while she certainly had issues, I think she used some of her assets to benefit others. For that alone, I admire the woman. And I think she deserved better than what she got.
