we finally started a serious organization of the garden room.
Here is the side of the room that's like a family room.

Here is all the junk that we haul in and out with us. Like who wants to view this stuff right?
I screened off a section for coats muddy shoes and all the junk one wants in a mudroom, and then the neighbors teenage boys moved the sofa bed down into the garden room , and the rug and after I do some camouflaging  of stuff and maybe bring a comfy chair into the space we are set for even the hottest of days as it never goes above 70 degrees in there.  no joking.

Good thinking. By mid June we'll move to our summer quarters below ground.

Re: coolerino
Looking forward to the picture.  I don't go below-ground, but this house is like below-ground in the summer, as it is still all the old plaster (insulates) and has 10 foot ceilings and 4 foot "crawl space" plus the huge attic, etc.  And we have ceiling fans in all the rooms.  It never got above 80 during the 100 degrees.  80 is still hot, but I'll get some misters for outside.

Re: coolerino
She stays in it when you walk?  I used to carry my cat, Minnie, in the basket on my banana seat bicycle when I was a kid.  She loved it.

Re: coolerino
she is tethered just in case but she isn't a bolter and she loves being up high and watching the world. the arboretum is her favorite place. They won't let her in the zoo---------- hahahaha. oops

Re: coolerino
My cat Cleo loved to walk on a harness.  I loved the looks we got as we strolled around the neighborhood.  When she got tired, she would ride on my shoulder.  There are some things you can do much easier with a cat than with a Lab! lol

Re: coolerino
I saw her exhibit at the Chicago Art Institute when it was here, and fell in love. I'd seen a few of her things before but not that many.
