As for supporting the military, I do support our soldiers, which is why I don't want them going to wars without good reason.  Granted there are terrorists there now that we're there, but before we went there was not a one.  In fact, Saddam hussein and Osama Bin Ladin hated each other.  You may recall Saddam didn't allow his people to practice religion, whereas osama is a religious nut.  Although the bush family and the saudi royal family, which osama is a part of, are close friends.

Another fact you might be interested in.  Osama was trained by the cia to fight communists in Afghanistan, and guess who was head of the CIA at the time?  Bush senior.  Also fifteen of the nineteen hijackers during 9/11 were saudi arabian. 

This is not about whether she met the president or not.  It's about why we actually went to war, and who our real enemies are.  It's about politics and money.  It's about our poor young men dying so our rich old men can get richer.  It's about how everyday the news becomes less a tool to inform the public, and more a tool of propaganda.  The two most reliable news sources on the earth were the bbc and npr.  Now conservatives have taken over npr and are purchasing pbs as well.  It won't be too long now before no one even remembers what democracy means.

And what about those reasonable prices for iraqi oil?  Gas sure has gotten a lot cheaper since then hasn't it?  And it's ridiculous to think a) that oil is our only option for energy and b)that it's going to last forever.  The oil reserves are on the decline for the first time in history and with the rapid industrialization of china and india it's only a matter of time before they run out.  Money spent bombing brown people would be better invested researching and preparing for the upcoming energy crisis.

Oh and I completely agree with you, the war in iraq has been a huge success, after all, it was over a couple of years ago right?  And it's a good thing we showed up, otherwise innocent civilians might still be getting killed there today.  And at least we put a stop to those terrorist attacks, and don't forget our success in catching those responsible.

Cheaper gas, all of the terrorists in prison, osama captured dead or alive, a three month war, and an end to the terrorist threat.  Yep, I'd say everything is going exactly as planned.

As for what we should have done, we should have stayed in afghanistan in fuller force until we had rebuilt it like we said we were going to.  The reason it was such a shit hole in the first place is because we sent osama and his thugs there, dropped bombs, and just generally fucked up their country trying to fend off the russians and stop the spread of communism.  Afghanistan before that was actually pleasant, and surprisingly there was a greater degree of gender equality there than here with women forming half the government.  Keep in mind we were not at war with them, but we did ruin their country and that's what made them a breeding ground for terrorists.

By doing the same thing again and again not rebuilding as we promised we have ensured that there will be a breeding ground and safe haven for terrorists in the future.  We should have addressed the north koreans and stopped them from developing nuclear weapons if we were so concerned about it, we should have addressed the fact that most of these terrorists even now are coming from Saudi Arabia.  You can look that up too, I'm sure you know that the various car bombers are coming in from elsewhere.

Funny, you'd think with all this liberal media I would have seen something mentioned on the news about our hear no evil, see no evil approach towards saudi arabia.  And what about the constant focus on where Osama Bin Ladin is?
