I bought a new book at an independent book store today. I bought a book about  government pork barrel spending. it looked good but I have a feeling it might be some sort of right-wing garbage.
Ok, I know, I shouldn't be spending any extra money on account of being unemployed. But I can't go to the library to get books because they say I owe them $60 for allegedly not turning in a DVD like four years ago. I know I turn that movie in. So, until it gets resolved I can't borrow anything from the library.
The other reason I bought the book was the conversation the people behind the counter were having was so funny I figured if these people are this cool they deserve my money. They were talking about Vegan Corn Dog's. It was really funny because one chick who, judging by her accent, was from the UK had never had a corn dog before. I also got a kick out of them making fun of Madonna.

On the job search front. I went to the employment agency today and was told that they actually aren't doing interviews today. So I filled out all my paperwork and stuff. I was told to call Monday.
That is so freaking annoying

Thanks,
Mark

I'd call the Mayor's hotline or whatever you have to resolve the library issue. They can't do that. Here, if I've returned something, I just tell them, and they take my word for it (it's happened twice).

I contested their claim to them and they still haven't done anything about it. As for the mayor, my father and him feuding right now so that;s out of the question.
yeah but your a sweet middle aged lady I'm a young punk, Who are they going to believe?
Oh BTW I love your new photo.

Re: Vegan Corn Dogs and such
that IS really annoying.  It sorta happened to me yesterday.  I rushed around the last few days trying to get my resume in order and all these other things because Pace University was having a job fair downtown.  So I got that email and I skipped an appointment at the health center because I figured 'health issue might be temporary, getting a job will definitely make me feel better'.

So I get down there, am told I had to register first, so they send me to this woman, Jen, who was running it to sign in.   She asks me for my area, and I say 'Special Education', and she said 'what level?' and I said 'elementary', and she says, "oh, none of your people are here today".

The email that detailed the exact room number I'd be in couldn't detail the fact that it was a high school only job fair!?!

Oh man that sucks. Why do these places do that. I mean I wore my good clothes and everything so mow I have to fugure out what else I have that looks nice enough for an interview or wear the same thing I did yesterday. They had me take all these assessment test online for the interview and now I have to wait 'til after the weekend. ARRGHH!
BTW my younger sister, Katie, is a freshmen at Central Michigan University majoring in Special Ed.
