The best 2nd baseman of the last 20 years is expected to announce his retirement tomorrow at Dodger stadium. The way I see it Kent is a sure thing hall of famer. I remember his walk off home run in game 5 of the NLCS while he played here in 2004. The 'Stros lost that series to the Cardinals in game 7 but Kent's homer ended one hell of a game in Minute Maid Park. Backe had a one hitter going into the 8th, I think. The score was 0-0 in the 9th then Kent hit a shot that banged off the All-Star game sign (the same place the Citgo sign is now) and ended the game 3-0, Houston. It was a shame to see him go after that season.
