Something else I've forgotten to mention about myself-- I'm 20. I always forget to mention my age because I normally feel like I'm 40. And if I don't feel 40, I feel 16. So I feel like my age isn't important. BUT MY BIRTHDAY IS. April Fools Day<3

Anyway, today I will talk about where I live. YAY. I live in good ol' Hudson, Florida. Except those of us who live around here will affectionately refer to it as Scudson. We're in between Spring Hood and Port Rehab, and then New Port Nowhere is pretty close by too. Yeahhh man, we love it here . . . or whatever.

Mostly people live in this town at first against their will. Then they find themselves trapped here. And then they die here . . . typically from a drug overdose or from the fact that our highway is the deadliest part of US19 in the country.

However, my town is so unimportant that most Floridians don't know what the fuck I'm saying when I say "Hudson." They usually don't even recognize "Pasco County." At least they know where the Gulf of Mexico is (normally) because I basically live right on that. To make things simpler for people, I just say I'm from Tampa. Technically, I do live outside of Tampa. By considering ourselves part of the Tampa Area, we save ourselves a lot of confused looks when we travel outside the area.

So. Am I stuck here? Going to die here? I am not going to die here. But I actually don't mind it here all that much. You just have to know which scumbags to avoid. But I love Florida. When I move, I'm definitely moving somewhere else in this state. Flip flops all year long<3 And I just like how "Florida" just has bright and sunny connotations. We're here to make you happy :] (We're just trying to change the color on your mood ring<3)

I didn't' always live here. I spent the first 11 years of my life in New Jersey. North Jersey, to be exact, so I have always been from the hood. I was a miserable, depressed, and eventually suicidal child (odd to hear at such a young age, but I started/experienced many things young) and I worked really hard at being happy after moving down here. For that reason, I would never want to live back up north ever again (or at least not in that general area), just because I associate it with depression and misery. It's okay to visit for a bit, but I don't want to risk my sanity by living there again.

I had basically worked myself out of my depression by the time I was 13 but kind of relapsed at 15. 15 and 16 were dark ages and I hid a lot of shit from a lot of people (including my internet friends). I've done things I'm not proud of but it's whatever. I have made sure I am much different person today, and I am generally pretty happy in life. :] I worked hard for happiness, so sometimes it feels good to brag about it. haha. Mostly though, I feel bad for talking about how happy I am when I know some of my close friends are not feeling the same way in their life; I feel like I'm rubbing my awesomeness in their miserable faces when I don't even mean to!

And that's a bit more about my background, I guess. I've traveled all up and down the east coast and every state basically looks the same. I would like to start venturing out west. I really, really want to visit Seattle. Someone should come with me!!!!!!!!

We also have a lot of old people. If people don't think of palm trees and sunshine, they think of old people.
And Disney! People love to think of Disney.

Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)

You probably made me think that the ghetto is more widespread than just the cities haha

Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)
Miami shouldn't even count as part of Florida, for serious.

Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)

HAUNTEDWHISPER on
Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)
The Poconos.
Cheesecake.
Greenery.
American Heart Association (lol my grandma worked there).
The Liberty Bell.
inthefastlane45 on
Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)
lol at I never think of the liberty bell..of it being in pennsylvania or of it in general.

cheesecake??

Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)
We used to own land in the Poconos. And there was a cheesecake place on the way up (or on the way home, I guess. We always brought it home). My mom lovedlovedlovedloved that place. I didn't eat cheesecake back then but I would love it now haha.

Pennsylvania makes me think of a bunch of other stuff, but it's mostly sentimental shit.

Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)
lol so I had no idea you owned land in Pennsylvania

Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)
We lost it when we filed for bankruptcy . . . My grandmother always lived in PA and plus with the land we owned, I probably spent about 40% of my childhood in PA. Every year we were going to move to Pennsylvania. When we had the land (honestly, I have no idea how/why we had it or where we got it from) my dad used to talk about building us a house out there.

Even now my dad still talks about moving to Pennsylvania. Every year I still hear this.

Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)
My parents thought about buying land and building a house instead of buying one back in 1992.

My dad and his friends built a house/"camp" up in the moutains..I think I told you that haha

Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)
The concept of owning a house was always weird to me, and it still is. My childhood consisted of us either living with family or living in an apartment. And then we moved down here and own a house. It was so weird at first. I thought it was so big, but really my house is small for an actual house. haha.

Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)
the concept of renting an apartment is weird/worthless to my parents lol

"but you don't have anything!"

"I don't WANT anything!"

I think owning a house is too much of a hassle.

Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)
When you have a big family though, I suppose a house is pretty important.
Maybe even if you have a small family.

Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)
I suppose, but it's often cheaper to rent except in a few cities....

with Pittsburgh being one of those expections lol

(according to some stupid survey I seen on yahoo)

Re: Mindsay Blog Reunion Tour Entry #3 (The Setting)
becuase these computers use IE, I have to paste the article:

Singer Rihanna is to talk for the first time about being assaulted by her ex-boyfriend Chris Brown in an interview being screened in the US this week.

The 21-year-old will tell ABC's Diane Sawyer what happened on the night of the attack in February, a statement from the TV network said.

Brown was sentenced to five years probation and six months community service in August over the attack.

The interview will be screened on Good Morning America on Thursday and Friday.

ABC said the singer reveals Brown was "definitely my first big love", but adds: "This happened to me - it can happen to anyone."

Rihanna was left bloody and bruised in the attack on the night of the Grammys.

During the interview she also talks about growing up in Barbados, her family life and how she has been over the past nine months since the assault.

Brown was interviewed by CNN's Larry King in September where he said he still loved Rihanna and was in shock over his actions.
