Resolve is true strength - not (as many believe) the power to control your own feelings (which are somewhat out of your hands anyway), but the power to weather the storm! You're determination's good!

Thank you. Although as soon as I feel lifted, eventually I lose it - quicker than I imagine. Really wish that didn't happen. D: It's a self-motivator.

You lose it because you are unable to make yourself happy and keep yourself "lifted" on your own geekity 14. You can not do it. I can't do it. No one can do it.

 

Look at the people on this planet. Billionaire business people, rich and famous movie and TV stars, successful politicans, they have it all yet none of it makes them happy and fulfilled. They want more at any cost and they will commit crimes and take their life to achieve it.

 

We were created to have a relationship with God who alone can bring us a purpose in life that will last. In Him and only him can we have a life that is complete and worth living.

 

God is the only way!!

 

 

I have always entirely believed that we were all designed for special, and unique purposes. Reasons why we were placed on the earth; why we were given talents and abilities and all that stuff. That could possibly link to my 'belief', if you wanna call it that.

And, as Chaps said, those purposes were all to do with and are because of, and for God.  He made us exclusively for Himself and he is a jealous God, when he sees us serving "foreign gods" such as putting other things before the service of him.  He says if we FIRST serve him and hunger after his righteousness...THEN these things, which are the desires of our hear, or our purposes, as you put it, will be added unto us....not the other way around.  God does not tolerate his children even sending smoke signals to other things or people they put before him...he exacts a high price, but that price is so rewarding and gives such peace that all we have to go through in the way of trials and hard times, end up sooooooo worth it!  He gives such peace in a world of turmoil....
