The life of a rebellious princess locked away in a tower of freaky perfection and nakedness.
I could sleep but instead I'm drinking in the sugar.
Sometimes I hit a sour patch in the lemonade.

So, of course I felt horribly ashamed afterwards, I listened to Dusty's message from Evie.
I found out that if you call someone elses voicemail from your own phone and know the password, you can check the messages without alerting the person whose messages you are checking. (If that doesn't make sense just skip the above sentence.)
One part of me was expecting to hear, "Hey Dusty, last night was spectacular!" and the other part of me was expecting to hear, "Dusty it was great seeing you the other day, give me a call, maybe you me and Taryn can hang out sometime."
I was wrong on both accounts.
Which is perfectly fine. Especially since I listened to the message and it went something like this:
"Hey it's Evie. Yeah, bored out of my mind right now. Just wonderin' what you were doing. Um, just wanted to say that, um, well..it's too bad that the boys came over yesterday. I thought we'd have more fun, you know. Anyway, I understand about your girlfriend and everything, it's cool. I used to be like that with Gordon. But, um, if you ever need anything, just give me a call. Maybe we can hang out again before you leave. Okay, talk to ya later. Bye."
So....I'm wondering with a sigh if that means Evie started flirting or kissing on Dusty and he made her stop. Or if he started to do something bad but thought better of it....
You know what? I seriously couldn't care less. If it had been something to worry about, Dusty would have either looked more guilty or would have spilled the beans. It just was such a curious message. I'm not going to ask him about it though, because that means admitting to him that I was snooping around.

Okay, so Dusty and I are thinking about leaving again.
We're even thinking about heading somehwere where there's no beach. (Gasps of shock and horror!)
But, I mean, now there's no reason for Dusty to surf as much. We have the money, we have the time, and we have the want to explore NEW things. So, I hope next we go somewhere beachless and see how things go.
Dusty's parents aren't backing off by the way.
His mother calls me almost every morning, and when I say calling me, I mean calling me names.
That woman has her head stuck up so far her own ass. I mean, I love her! I absolutely adore her snobby, vindictive ways!
Okay, I'm a writer, not an actress.

'When Fred was finished dancing on top of the white, laced, frilly stage, he put his hands out. His grin was brilliant as he waited for the applause of his family members and scattered friends.
"Oh I know the music's fine like sparkling wine..." The music was clear and simple, nothing like the decorations.
"Come dance with me, Fred motioned for Her to accompany him on stage.
She blushed, looked towards Her own date and shook her head 'no' at Fred.
Her date, noticing Her glance, turned his head away.
She followed Fred up the stairs. '

"We are all such hypocrites aren't we?
We like being that way-feeling superior but acting just as bad as "the Others."
I got fed a spoonful of guilt today-along with other things.
But how do you respond to someone who has no love for life?
No love for adventure itself, just the consequences of an adventure.
Its like a pirate digging for gold, but never sailing the ship."
