Good luck, and may the force be with you.
LOL! I thank you Master Jedi! (or should I say Sith? lol)
I sense a great disturbance in the force... somewhere Southeast of here.

That's good to hear. I figured you'd be ok. If the hurracane got to close, I figured you'd battle it away with a force choke.
I hope that the damage wasn't too severe.
I hope that the damage wasn't too severe.Rita actually damaged Louisiana more than TX. I'm kinda sad about that. But if the hurricane got close, I was gonna challenge it anyway, to see how much of the wind I can withstand... lol
I've always wondered how much wind I could take before I flew away. It doesn't get too windy here. Unless its a blizzard, and I'll be damned if I'm going to stand in one, lol.
A blizzard's wind at probably 20MpH would hurt enough.. A tropical 50MpH can nudge me down, weighing 135lbs. I know breathing is hard at 35MpH. I would probably fly away at 75MpH according to the demo on TV.
You would fly at 93MpH. The demonstration I saw, it was a 200lbs guy and he was bolted with a harness and cords. Then they simulated wind speed, and this guy was like, I just felt sorry for him at 100MpH (Category 1) wind simulation.
It was local news, just to make sure no one goes out there in the winds taking pictures like I did.. lol
I think it was! If Rita went "that" way, that means we pushed her back to Louisiana... Hmmm.. Meditate on it, I shall.
I think, over there... Rita is now a tropical depression, except she's still widespread full of rain all over the north...
Right now, it's a record high sunny day, hottest heat index, high humidity and hardly any wind...
It was supposed to rain and be cooler...
It was supposed to rain and be cooler...
That's a pleasant surprise then. It was gloomy here, but it got a little better. Its getting chilly now though.
It's already chilly there? Damn! I'm waiting for that cooler temperature so I can drive around. I don't have A/C and to drive out there is like putting myself in a microwave for 50 minutes. lol
That's a good thing to do in a weather like that. I'm usually not home around those times. I urge myself to find things to do.
I write them here in Mindsay, as private entries... Then I comment on it to see what I have done and what I haven't done. I like, totally have conversations with myself, just finding things to do. lol
It does, as a matter of fact... but I haven't done it since last week, when I did it as an experiment. Give it a try, just post a things to do "private"... you don't have to reply to yourself, you just have to know you done whatcha gotta do.
I was at a hospital for hours today w/no money. I had one of those headaches today. Now, I have a cup right next to me.
Oh yeah, my friend had her appendix out. She's fine. I have an after hospital doobie ready for her, heheh.
I have never experienced surgery before... *knock on wood* I never had any part of my body opened up.. Dental work is different... But yeah, I just find surgery crazy...
I didn't like it when I had mine done. Its weird. Its like yur out for hours, and it feels like mere seconds.
Thanks man. I really appreciate that. Worry, but not too much. Rita took a different path and now I'm worried for LA as well.
I'll keep updating this other blog: http://kuyaroger.blogspot.com starting Friday night with moblogs (they are less than 120 characters of entries sent from my cell phone). You can visit that periodically this weekend to let you know updates about my endeavors.

I wish you good luck, but I cannot say I agree with your choice.
I'd hate for your little boy to have to say his daddy chose his house over evacuating, to survive and see him grow up.
It's ok, everyone's entitled to their own opinions.
Thank you for the wishes, that's what I need most right now.

It was pandemonium out there! We weren't able to get out of town
Check out my blog for the details of our failed evacuation attempt.
Check out my blog for the details of our failed evacuation attempt.I know how hard evacuating is. When Florida kept getting hit last year with all those hurricanes, my family evacuated for only one of them.
When I heard Rita was going to Texas, the first thing I thought was, "AH! Roger lives there!"

Yeah, evacuating is tough. I have no problem leaving my stuff here. I'm worried about getting stranded on the freeway when Rita comes. Houstonians DO NOT KNOW how to evacuate properly and that's something to think about.
Right now, they're stuck in traffic.
