Hmmmm????
Let them be called "fools" who believe the fantasy story proposed by our "leaders"...

From all I've seen or read, it seems more like a bad case of 20/20 hindsight! Just like with Pearl Harbour, the possibility of prior "warnings" were erroneously dismissed, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was a conspiracy. Looking back, with perfect hindsight, we can say the warnings shouold have been given more weight, but we ignore warnings on a daily basis! So ... what possible "good" could the government have hoped to gain?
They wanted to have a permanent presence in Iraq and they have achieved it. They discussed building permanent bases there.
Just google "pnac" if you are not familiar with it. Of course, some people may believe this to be a coincidence. I don't happen to believe in coincidence however.
I also want to bring up the attack on our civil liberties and the passing of unconstitutional legislation. The Patriot act was written long before 9/11. We have seen the loss of habeas corpus. We have the rise of surveillance and the loss of privacy. The 4th Amendment only exists on paper.
The War on Terror equals the war on liberty much like the War on Drugs. The Constitution no longer matters in this country. It will be the death of us if we can't get back to it.
We have also created more government. Assuming that the attacks really happened the way the government says it did, we can see that goverment is incompetent. How much did we spend on defense and intelligence before the attacks? How much has spending gone up? The only thing we have done is create a bigger government and more beaureaucracy.
I didn't see any mention of drones in this article so I can't help you with that one.
Also, I don't think you realize just how many warnings there were. Unfortunately, I don't have time to get into it right now.
